ASB stands for Associated Student Body and it represents the interests and goals of the entire East Union High School Student Body.
Students who enroll in ASB do so because they recognize that there is more to being successful in school than simply doing homework. Having a positive atmosphere during the school day where students feel wanted and accepted is critical to their success.
To that end, the officers and appointed members of the ASB class focus on providing engaging activities that ensure a well-rounded high school experience.
Students in ASB plan, organize and participate in such activities as dances, Homecoming, Spirit Week, rallies, community awareness projects, cultural events, and Staff Recognition throughout the year. Most of the funds from ASB come from the student-run spirit store program.
Students must maintain high academic and citizenship grades to remain in the class and are additionally required to work approximately 20 hours each term outside of the class.
Students are elected or appointed to the class each spring for the following school year. If you are interested in being a leader at East Union, consider running for an office or applying to be appointed to the class.
The Black Student Union (BSU) serves as a forum for communication amongst diverse students and faculty. Black Student Union hopes to involve the community in its efforts to attain respect for cultural diversity and peaceful coexistence. We mainly focus on the struggles and solutions for people of African- American and other desents. We are support for those who have none. Our aim is to advocate the needs of students while empowering, teaching, discussing and exploring the Black experience.
GSA is a safe, creative space for every individual. We are accepting everyone! We share our stories and find a home away from home. We plan to expand our reach into social media for the 2021 school year.
We study a scientific/mathematical subject that we are interested in. You partner with someone else who is interested in the same subject as you. Then, those teams compete in a test designed around that subject.
